Podcast: vrouwen versterken vrouwen
Being invited by Dominique Stulens to talk about mentoring together with Vanya Somers from Vrouwennet vzw / Fempreneurs was one of those moments where things quietly click.
Not because everything is suddenly “figured out”.
But because you realise how powerful the right environment can be.
What stayed with me most from this conversation:
Mentoring isn’t about fixing someone.
It’s about being seen, believed in and gently stretched beyond the version of yourself you’ve grown comfortable with.
I recognised myself painfully well in what we discussed:
doing a lot, carrying a lot, building multiple things…
and still quietly thinking: “I’m not there yet.”
That voice doesn’t disappear by working harder.
Sometimes it softens because someone else reflects back what you can’t see yet.
Grateful for this conversation, for the honesty and for spaces where women don’t just “support” each other — but genuinely strengthen one another.

🎙️ In this podcast, we discuss:
- the difference between ‘supporting’ and ‘empowering’
- why women often need a push towards the stage
- mentoring as a growth accelerator
- finding focus when you have a thousand ideas
- and why community is not a luxury, but a lever
(Only available in Dutch)
And I’ll happily pass the question on:
When was the last time someone truly strengthened you — and what shifted because of it?
