In the years I worked as a project manager for hotel renovations, I saw something we’ve all come to accept as normal:
interiors being completely stripped out and replaced every 7 to 15 years.
Not because they were worn out.
But because it was time for something new.
And that didn’t feel right.
That’s where May Again began. May Again supports interiors through cycles of change, while retaining identity, quality and trust.
May Again is built on a different logic.
We bring upcycled and circular design into real spaces, where it is actively used and experienced. But instead of treating a project as a one-time installation, we see it as part of a longer chain.
Objects don’t end after one project. They move forward — into new contexts, new uses, new meanings.
Value doesn’t disappear after installation. It remains visible and continues to build over time.
Furniture is no longer a cost. It becomes an asset.
Because maybe we don’t need to start over again and again —
but learn how to build on what already exists.
May Again supports interiors through cycles of change, while retaining identity, quality and trust.
Operating as a contextual design agency, we work with designers, makers and material innovators who create from waste streams and circular principles. Through carefully curated placements in real environments, we allow design to prove itself through use — not theory.
Over time, this creates a system where objects remain traceable, adaptable and in circulation, opening up new possibilities for reuse, repositioning and long-term value.
May Again is led by Wendy Scheerlinck, architect and creative director with over 20 years of experience in hospitality and public spaces.
Alongside May Again, she runs House of May, a studio for bold, expressive print design — ensuring sustainability is never treated as a visual compromise.
